Keeping Your Relationship Fresh
So, you’re back with your ex and things are going great guns, but you want to keep things fresh and hold onto that lush green honeymoon period for as long as it takes. What you gonna do?
Well you’re going to get creative and explore the lovely warm center of yourself and come up with some new ways to do things that will boost the health of your relationship.
So answer this question, when was the last time that you just spontaneously did something for your ex? Just upped and did something for them that they’d enjoy?
I know, you think about things you could do. You imagine doing all kinds of things together, but you never really get past the thinking and the imagining.
Here’s why!
We all have that little voice in our heads that cuts us off at the legs whenever we go “what if I…?” or “I’m gonna…!” As soon as we start thinking creatively, a voice inside of us comes up with all kinds of reasons why we shouldn’t do what we’re thinking. The voice is called fear.
How do you beat fear, you push on through in spite of fear! The more you ignore it, the louder it will shout you down and try and stop you achieving what you want to achieve. But here’s the thing, the louder it shouts, the more you know you’re on the right track. And you beat it by acknowledging the voice and moving forward in spite of the voice.
If you get up one morning and think your love would enjoy a bike ride, even though they’ve not been on a bike for a few years, ask them. Suggest it! Ignore the voice that says… “Well he/she won’t want to because [fill in the blanks] so, I won’t even bother asking!”
If you don’t ask you don’t get!
By asking not only do you give your love a lovely surprise and they begin to see you as a creative thinker, who has their happiness at heart, they also see you as someone who wants to spend time with them and you will put yourself to the trouble of organizing something for them, to spend time with them. Do you know how special your love will feel? Have a guess how much power this gives to your relationship!
