A Vital Stage In Getting Your Ex Back
If you’ve read any of my site, you’ll see that I advocate the No Contact or NC method of dealing with the initial breakup with your ex!
Truth is, you miss this stage out at your peril!
But you’re going to have to find a way to get through the initial stages of NC and what does it feel like?
If you’re still in love with your ex, NC SUCKS! big time and here’s why…
- You’re constantly checking your phone to see if you’ve got a message, missed a call or if your phones’s on silent.
- You suddenly have gaps in your day when you used to be in contact with your ex and you just don’t know what to do with that time now.
- You just want to hear their voice, or have some idea that they still think about you or are going through the same tough stuff as you!
- You just want to know that they haven’t moved on and left you behind!
So they’re some of the reasons that NC is tough, but here’s why NC is vital…
- You need time to get your head straight after the initial breakup.
- You need time to figure out what you want and what went wrong.
- Every day you have NC is a day that may make you realise that your ex is NOT the person for you!
So how can you get through NC without failing and losing your mind?
- You’re going to have to fill your time doing something else! Take up a hobby, take an extra class, get fit! Do something. Sitting in night after night thinking about your ex and looking at your phone is a surefire way of not making it through NC.
- Reconnect with your family and friends! They can be a strong source of support, just don’t spend the time with them talking about nothing but your ex.
- Go out and date. I’m not suggesting that you launch into a brand new relationship, or you use someone and then dump them, just go have some fun!
- A journal can be great if you like doing that kind of thing.
Really, trust me, if you have plans to get your ex back, then you have to go NC right now! It’s the only way.
And as I said, you may even discover that the person you thought you couldn’t live without, who you were so desperately in love with, is not worth it anyway.
